Search plants in familes

Here you have the possibility, to search plant families of such plants, that are cultivated in Hohenheim Gardens. Enter the name of the family or a part of it into the search field and press the search button.

The nomenclature of the families complies with the international "Angiosperm Phylogeny Group" (APG III), who published an acknowledged compromise for the classification of taxa in families.

Search tips
You can search for scientific plant families either using capital or small letters.You may also find names of plant families, in which the species were formerly grouped, for instance Acer negundo: formerly Aceraceae, today Sapindaceae.
You can also only search parts of the names, the database will be searched according to their search pattern:
Beispiel: Acera " finds for example Sapindaceae, because the Aceraceae were grouped in the Sapindaceae.
